Tottenham news – Inter back in for Bale, Multiple sponsors latest, Forlan rules out move

Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Tottenham. Today:

Multiple sponsors latest.

Tottenham Hotspur may have as many as four shirt sponsors for next season according to a report in the News of the World. Club chairman Daniel Levy is considering a different deal for the Premier League, Champions League and the FA Cup, after failing to find a sponsor willing to pay the £10 million a year the club demanded for all competitions. Spurs may not have a shirt sponsor for the beginning of next term after their old patron Mansion expired at the end of last season.

Forlan rules out move.

Diego Forlan has buried claims of a possible move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, insisting he is happy at Atletico Madrid. Harry Redknapp had made the Uruguayan a prime target this summer, but he remained immovable about his decision when he spoke to The Mirror: “I am very happy in Madrid and I have three years left on my contract with Atletico. I will not go.”

Inter back in for Bale.

According to the Italian sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan have upped their interest in Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale. Spurs would demand at least £20 million for the young prodigy, while Serie A rivals AC Milan and Juventus are also believed to be interested in the 20-year-old. Bale proved instrumental in the second part of last season and it is unlikely Harry Redknapp will let him go with the Champions League beckoning.
