Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Tottenham. Today:

Redknapp signs new contract.

The Tottenham Hotspur website confirms Harry Redknapp has signed a new contract with Spurs that lengthens his expiry date to 2013. Last season he led the North London club to a historic fourth in the league and a place in the Champions League. The momentous campaign earned Redknapp the Premier League’s Manager of the Year award and his new contract secures his future at White Hart Lane for a further two seasons.

Taiwo keen on Spurs.

Marseille defender Taye Taiwo is keen on a move to White Hart Lane according to Sky Sports. The left-back has two years left on his contract at the Stade Velodrome but admits he has new horizons after six years with the French club. Atletico Madrid have already had their £4m bid rejected but the club could be swayed with offers of £8 million or more. “My ambition has always been to play at the top level. Spurs are a fantastic team in the best league.”

Moyes: Pienaar not for sale.

Everton Manager David Moyes has warned Spurs that Steven Pienaar is not for sale. The Toffees boss told The Mirror: “Steven plays for Everton, and that’s it really, and I don’t know any more than that.” Tottenham were favourites to land the South African winger this summer after it was feared the player would leave Everton at the end of next season as a free agent. “We are not listening to offers for him, and he is not going to be sold, because we don’t want to sell him.”
