Tottenham’s left-sided star Gareth Bale has been linked with three giants of Italian football in the Italian sports daily il
Inter President Massimo Moratti has revealed that he was already interested in Bale before the game, yet after his performance against Inter on Wednesday, where he scored a hat-trick, Moratti hailed the player as “Fantastic”. He did however acknowledged that his value would have increased afterwards. The paper suggests that where last summer the player may have been priced at 20m Euros, that figure could be up to 40m Euros now.
This high figure means that only Inter are thought to be able to fund a summer move, rather than other interested clubs Milan, Juventus and Manchester United. It is also thought that a move in January would be unlikely as Tottenham would be unwilling to sell mid-season, and the player would be cup-tied in the Champions League.
Inter has had a recent investment of 100m Euros from sponsors Pirelli, some of which had been rumoured to be heading to Barcelona for the signing of Lionel Messi in the summer, however Bale may be a more achievable aim seeing as the player is happy in Catalonia.
Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has also expressed interest, saying they have been following the player since his days at Southampton, and Juventus apparently enquired about the players availability last summer, and remain interested in a summer move.
