Haaretz.com has reported that officials at Inter Milan will ban the flying of the Jewish Star of David at this Thursdays’ Champions League clash at the San Siro in Milan. Redknapp bemoans foreign ownership.

Harry Redknapp has spoken publicly of his dislike of the effects of the global appeal of the Premier League. Acknowledging that nothing can be done to stop the market forces from bringing in foreign

investors – in turn seeing English teams dragged across the globe to enhance their market value – Redknapp called for owners to relate more to the sentiments of the fans instead of the business.

Sportinglife.com reports him as saying of the new Liverpool owners ‘They’re not buying Liverpool because they love Liverpool and as little kids watched Liverpool playing and had Liverpool pillow cases. ‘Who’s this Liverpool?’ they say. Let’s go and buy Liverpool and make a few quid.’
