Tottenham news – Spurs in for Benzema, Mou rules out Bale bid, Kranjcar to Villa?

Mou rules out Bale bid.

After speaking publicly of his dislike of Real Madrid left-back Marcelo, Jose Mourinho has made a dramatic u-turn, effectively ending the fierce speculation that liked him with Spurs left-back Gareth Bale. ESPN reports Mourinho as stating “Madrid are constantly being linked with this player and that player but I want to say that I do not want another left winger,” adding “I didn’t like anything about Marcelo when I arrived because I thought he could do everything but defend but now I am a lover of his.”

Spurs in for Benzema.

Insidefutbol.com has reported the Spurs, Manchester United and Juventus are ready with a €30 million bit for Los Blancos striker Karim Benzema. Having been alerted to the news that Real are looking to offload both Benzema and Kaka due to their lack of impact at the Bernabeu, Spurs are apparently already at the table and looking to add to their goal scoring options.

Kranjcar to Villa?

Footylatest have reported a bidding duel between Aston Villa and Monaco for Croatian-international midfielder Nico Kranjcar. Since the arrival of mercurial Dutchman Raphael van der Vaart, Kranjcar has found himself falling down the pecking order at White Hart Lane. Reports have suggested that the winning bid will be around the £10 million mark.
