Arsenal news – Fabianski: I can be world-class, “Wenger always moaning”, Braga win vital

Braga win vital.

Emmanuel Eboue has stated that Arsenal’s visit to Braga in the Champions League is a must-win match. Wednesday’s surprising defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk has left the Gunners yet to qualify for the knock-out stages of the competition as they are currently joint on points with their conquerors despite possessing a far superior goal difference.

According to The Guardian, Eboue said: “We are very disappointed about the result but we have to put our heads up and focus now on our league [campaign].”

“Wenger always moaning”.

Bert van Marwijk has defended his choice to include crocked Arsenal star Robin van Persie in his Holland squad for the friendly with Turkey on November 17. The Guardian reports that van Marwijk said he had already spoken to the player, and as a result had “no hesitation” about picking him.

The Netherlands coach has also found an ally in current Russia boss Dick Advocaat, who according to said: “He is always moaning about something. Mr Wenger wants to become the champion of England; I want my team to qualify from the Euro 2012 group. We need to respect the interests of each other.”

Fabianski: I can be world-class.

Lukasz Fabianski has vowed to prove himself a world-class goalkeeper after impressing so far this term. Manger Arsene Wenger was chasing Fulham stopper Mark Schwarzer in the summer following a string of high-profile errors by both the Pole and fellow custodian Manuel Almunia last season, but the 25-year-old’s impressive showings are thought to have convinced Wenger to reconsider the goalkeeping situation at the club.

According to the Daily Star, Fabianski said: “The reason the manager said I can be world class is that he sees me every day in training. I want to stay focused, I need to work hard and I try to play as best as I can. I have been through a difficult time, but I have always been focused and was always working hard.”
