Tottenham want Parker and Mexes in January

Footylatest reports that Spurs could be lining up permanent moves for West Ham’s Scott Parker and Roma’s Phillipe Mexes.

These two deals as well as a potential permanent deal for Emmanuel Adebayor wouldn’t leave boss Redknapp much change from £50m, though he will seek to offload several squad players in order to balance the books.

However, all three deals pose potential problems with Man City not keen to sell Adebayor to a rival club, West Ham wanting a large fee for Parker and Mexes being chased by a host of Europe’s top clubs including bitter north London rivals Arsenal. However, with Spurs’ impressive Champions League push thus far this season they could be considered primary contenders for all three players.
