Arsenal news – Walcott confident, No Vela exit, Style to help next generation

Walcott confident.

Theo Walcott has told reporters he wants the Gunners to get it right in every game from now until the end of the season, and bring the Premier League trophy back to the Emirates according to Express.co.uk .

The England winger has been in good recent form and helped Arsenal end their top two hoodoo by beating Chelsea 3-1 on Monday.

He said: “We would be disappointed if we win against Chelsea and then lose at Wigan. These games are very important, just as big as facing Chelsea or United. We need to go there and show what champions are made of and try and win. We must press like we did against Chelsea.

“The whole team, even the players that came on, got their duties right. And it was just nice to see in an Arsenal team for a change. We made Chelsea look quite average at times. It’s nice to get a win against one of the big teams, against the champions. It’s great to see and to be part of that – it’s a dream, really. It was nice to see an Arsenal team actually do everything right and, hopefully, we will continue to do just that.”

No Vela exit.

Espanyol have ruled out a move for Arsenal striker Carlos Vela, who has found himself exiled to the fringes of the first team in north London with the form of Marouane Chamakh and return to fitness of Robin van Persie.

The Mexican striker had been linked with a move to Estadi Cornell
