Tottenham have joined the host of clubs seeking a January loan move for LA Galaxy star David Beckham, according to Goal.com.
The midfielder hopes to repeat his moves of the last two years and earn a new year loan move in an effort to regain his place in the England set-up – and many feel the time would be ideal for the midfielder to return to the Premier League.
Beckham stated earlier this month that he would only come back to England if it was to re-join Manchester United. He attended Tottenham’s School of Excellence as a youngster, and a return to his roots may prove tempting enough to bring Beckham to White Hart Lane.
Gareth Bale has admitted he shares Harry Redknapp’s title dreams at Spurs, reports ESPN.
The Welshman has been in scintillating form this season, and has helped the north Londoners to fifth place in the league.
He told The Guardian: “You can see how confident we are. Even playing with 10 men, we just attack all the time. We are right in the mix in the table and there is no reason why we can’t push now for the title. We are all close, we fight for each other on the pitch, we all get on and that shows on the pitch. That’s why the results are coming in.
“Every game at the moment is massive, with all the top teams picking up points. We have to make sure we stay in the mix and we are there at the end of the season. There is no reason why we can’t be serious contenders. We have a great squad and are putting in great performances.”
Kranjcar Celtic latest.
Yesterday’s reports that Niko Kranjcar could be on his way to Celtic on a loan move is reportedly news to the Scottish club’s manager Neil Lennon.
The former Leicester midfielder stated that he has made no moves to bring the Croatian to Parkhead, and nor has he made an approach for Real Mallorca defender Ivan Ramiss, according to sport.stv.tv.
Lennon told Sky Sports: “I don’t know anything about a move for Kranjcar. He’s a good player but I’ve had no contact with anyone at Tottenham.
“And the same goes for suggestions we’re back in for Ramis. That’s news to me.”
