According to sources at Sky
Stoke tabled a £5.9m offer for the France born Senegal international, and the German club have granted The Potters permission to discuss terms with the former Watford youngster ahead of his move to the Britannia Stadium.
It was thought that West Ham were leading the race to sign Ba, but it seems like Stoke are now the favourites to sign the striker. Stoke manager Tony Pulis? is keen to add to his attaking options, and sees Ba as a great addition to his squad with of Sanli Tuncay and Eidur Gudjohnsen? both being linked with moves away from the Britannia. Tuncay has only started three games for Stoke this season, but manager Pulis is still keen to keep hold of the Turk.
Pulis is hoping to sign Ba in time for Stoke’s game against Bolton on Saturday.
