After an inspired performance in his side’s victory over Liverpool, Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has admitted he is desperate to win the FA Cup.
United currently sit top of the Premier League but Evans insists success in the famous cup competition is high on their list of priorities.
“Winning the FA Cup is still a big dream for everyone,” said the 23-year-old.
“Your football career is so short, as each year goes on, it does become more important because you haven’t won it. The FA Cup is such a big trophy. It is known all round the world.”

Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney is primed for a return against high flyers Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday.
The striker has been unavailable since suffering an ankle injury in the latter stages of United’s 2-1 victory at West Brom, on New Year’s Day. Rooney was set to be in contention for the game against Liverpool but Ferguson decided not to take the risk.
“I could have put him on the bench but there was no point,” said Ferguson.
“He just felt it again on Friday and when he came in on Saturday morning you could see there was a reaction. At that point, we said no.”
