According to reports on Sky
Larsson’s contract expires in the summer and Birmingham are reluctant to let the former Arsenal midfielder leave on a free in the summer and are willing to let him go this month and recoup a fee. With such interest in the player, it’s believed that Newcastle won’t be the only side in for him over the course of the month.
The Daily Mirror report that Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has targeted Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam as Larsson’s replacement, with a bid of around £2m being reported for the Scottish playmaker.
