Spurs will not be signing David Beckham on loan, after it emerged that the insurance fee demanded by LA Galaxy would be too high. However, there could still be the possibility that the former England captain signs for the club in November.
According to the Press Association, Redknapp said: “Yes it’s a possibility, of course. It just depends on how it all goes.
“If he comes and does well then he will, I am certain, have lots of offers. They will want him in Qatar I would think. They will want him all over the world.
“But we would want him as well. I think he will be a good influence.”
Redknapp confirms no Carroll move.
Spurs won’t be pursuing their interest in Newcastle striker Andy Carroll for the time being, according to FansFC.
The player has been heavily linked with a move to London and notably Spurs in recent weeks, but Magpies boss Alan Pardew insisted the popular striker wouldn’t be going anywhere.
Redknapp said:“I have never discussed it with Alan Pardew. Alan doesn’t want to sell him as far as I know so that’s the end of that one.”
Spurs in for Agger.
Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has requested a transfer as he is unhappy with his role at Anfield, according to Imscouting.com.
The 26-year-old has attracted interest from Spurs, Arsenal and Juventus. He had been assured more regular action than the four sporadic appearances thus far this season by former Kop boss Roy Hodgson.
However, Hodgson’s departure appears to have put those assurances in jeopardy and Agger looks set to head for the exit door, with a move to the capital appearing likely.
