West Ham target goes AWOL

Senegalese striker Demba Ba hasn’t reported to Hoffenheim’s Spanish training camp during the winter break and Sky Sports News reports that Ba is willing to do whatever it takes to secure his dream move to the Premier League.

The German club are incensed with the players behaviour, also citing a previous occasion where he has tried to force a move, saying: “We cannot accept his doings with regard to our club, our fans and his team-mates. That’s a fact, he is acting on his own authority at the moment”, They have also fined the player.

It has been a difficult winter period for the side who lost their coach after selling star player Luis Gustavo to Bayern Munich, which hasn’t been helped by Ba’s actions.

West Ham are believed to be in for the forward who began his professional career at Watford and was an integral part of Hoffenheim’s rise to and stability in the Bundesliga, scoring 37 goals in 97 appearances.
