West Ham to sign Demba Ba on loan

West Ham are set to sign Senegalese striker Demba Ba on loan until the end of the season, according to his Bundesliga club, Hoffenheim.

The player had previously been set for a move to Stoke City, but the player failed a medical and the deal fell through. He then went on to refuse to take part in training with Hoffenheim, desperate for a move to the Premier League, and according to the team’s manager Ernst Tanner, Ba has now got his move.

“Nothing has been signed, but everything points to the fact that he will go on loan at West Ham,”, he said.

The deal could indicate that Hoffenheim have come to an agreement with Ryan Babel, with whom they are currently in negotiations to bring to Germany.
