Arsenal wait on Fabregas and Walcott injuries

Arsenal have two fresh injury worries following their 1-0 victory over Stoke city at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

In the game Arsenal scored early through Sebastien Squillaci, a goal which proved enough to win the match, however manager Arsene Wenger will be disappointed to pick up injuries to two important players, Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott.

Fabregas left the field after just 14 minutes, with a possible hamstring injury, the extent of which will be determined by tests on Thursday. In addition, Walcott was involved in a struggle for the ball with Stoke striker Dean Whitehead, with the Arsenal forward appearing to twist his ankle with his attempts, and appears certain to miss the Carling Cup final this weekend.

Both injuries will be assessed in the next days, but Arsenal will be hoping they do not rule the players out for the Champions League return leg against Barcelona.
