Manchester United are tracking Udinese star Alexis Sanchez after its was revealed the Chilean international would leave the Italian club at the end of the season.
Sir Alex Ferguson has been a long-term admirer of the 22-year-old who has netted 5 goals in Serie A this season. United will face stiff competition from Spanish giants Barcelona but his agent Fernando Felicevich admitted a move could be finalised at the end of the season.
Felicevich said: “Various clubs have shown an interest and he will leave Udinese at the end of the season.
“Despite everything that has been said and written, neither I nor the club have received offers for Sanchez [in January]. But I can confirm he will change clubs in June.”

Manchester United talisman Rio Ferdinand has declared manager Sir Alex Ferguson has installed the belief in the players that they can remain unbeaten all season.
United’s victory over Aston Villa on Tuesday equalled the clubs longest unbeaten run of 29 games, a feat that was achieved by the their immortal treble-winning team of 1999.
“You never lose faith when you play for Manchester United,” Ferdinand told The Sun.
“It comes from the manager – he has got that desire and will to win…it filters down through the club and that’s always the way it’s been”
Giggs: Neville has future.
Fellow Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs has revealed Gary Neville has all the requirements to be a great assistant manager.
Neville announced his immediate retirement from the game on Thursday but will remain at the club in order to complete his coaching qualifications.
“Gary would be a brilliant assistant manager because he is focused and organised. He could do the day-to-day coaching, he gets his point across well on the training pitch “ Giggs told the Daily Mirror.
