Tottenham plan bid for Barcelona striker

Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a Summer move for Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Bojan, who has made more than 100 appearances for Barcelona since signing professionally in 2007, could be available at the end of the season due to the limited playing-time he has had since the signing of Ibrahim Afellay from PSV, and the success of Pedro acting as cover for the forward positions. As such, both player and club could be open to a move in time for next season.

Tottenham are known to be in the market for a striker, with manager Harry Redknapp reportedly making January offers for a number of La Liga stars, including Giuseppe Rossi (Villareal), Fernando Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), and Diego Forlan (Athletico Madrid).

Bojan, 20, has one cap for Spain, and has scored three goals in 19 league appearances this season.
