Chelsea and Man City on Ibrahimovic alert

Chelsea and Manchester City have been alerted to the possible availability of Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to his agent Mino Raiola.

Ibrahimovic, 29, had previously said that he wanted to end his career at Milan, however, talking to Italian TV channel 7 Gold, his agent Raiola, who also manages Mario Balotelli, suggested this may no longer be the case: “Zlatan may not end his career at Milan, we will make a decision in 2012 depending on the results achieved here.

“He could just as likely to return to Barcelona and see out the rest of his five-year deal there too.”

Ibrahimovic is currently on-loan from Barcelona, although Milan are to pay 24m Euros this Summer to complete the deal, meaning that Raiola plans to look at Ibracadabra’s future one year into his new deal.

The news that the player is willing to consider his future has alerted Chelsea and Man City, two clubs that hold the financial power to bring the Swede to the Premier League.

Mario Balotelli has talked of how he would like to play alongside Ibrahimovic in the future, and Chelsea are thought to be looking for a target-man to replace the ageing Didier Drogba.
