Former Italian defender Arsenal Pietro Vierchowod believes Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has not matured yet and insists the youngster is not suited to the Premier League, Goal.com has revealed.
The former Sampdoria, Roma, AC Milan and Juventus player says Balotelli has to calm down and stop getting sent off, he also believes the 20-year-old must stop diving if he is to have a successful career in England: “I think Balotelli has not matured yet.
“He thought he would have more freedom by leaving Serie A, instead in England people don’t get out of line as much. They look at individual behaviour over there and they don’t like diving. You have to be loyal on the pitch, talent alone is not enough.”?
Milner: Title next year.
Manchester City midfielder James Milner is confident his side will improve more than their league rivals and will have a good chance of winning the Premier League next season.
The Blues had made qualification to the Champions League their main priority this season and the Blues currently sit in third place with a four point lead over Tottenham.
Milner believes if his side finish in the top four then they can build on their recent success, but admits it will take time before they can become one of the best sides in Europe: “It is going to take time. There have been so many changes. You have to get that bond and learn how to play with each other.
“No team has been on fire this season. Chelsea had a great start, then struggled. Manchester United have somehow kept winning games without playing well. We have to get that mentality.”
Mancini wants Pirlo.
Roberto Mancini is hoping to sign Andrea Pirlo on a free transfer this summer, according to The Daily Star.
The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and the Rossoneri have asked the World Cup winner to half his wages to stay on at the San Siro but the Italian has refused and looks likely to end his ten year stay at the club.
Mancini is expecting Patrick Vieira to leave Eastlands this summer and sees Pirlo as the perfect replacement for the Frenchman.
It is understood that Juventus and Barcelona are both interested in signing the firmer Inter player but he has told close friends that he is more interested in playing in the Premier League.
