Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has declared himself content with his side’s scrappy displays if it means they are able to clinch a top-four spot.
City narrowly edged past Wigan on Saturday after David Silva was gifted the winning goal by Latics keeper Al-Habsi and Mancini has issued a warning to his players that their performances must improve if they want to continue winning games.
“I would be happy for us to play badly from now until the end if we always win,” said Mancini. “But that’s not always possible. If you don’t play well, you can win one or two games but afterwards you won’t win.”
Tevez news Inter link.
Club captain Carlos Tevez has once again been linked with a move away from Eastlands with Inter Milan reportedly preparing a £40million bid, according to TalkSport.
Inter president Massimo Moratti has already met with the player’s agent Kia Joorabchian with regards to a move in the summer.
Tevez was subject to heavy criticism after handing in a transfer request last December claiming he was suffering from homesickness. However Tevez withdrew his request and has recently stated he was happy with life in Manchester.
PSG want SWP.
French club Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Manchester City’s Shaun Wright-Phillips, reports the Daily Mirror.
The England winger has struggled to cement a first team place this season and was heavily linked with a move away from Eastlands during the January transfer window.
Wright-Phillips is still under contract at City until 2012 but Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a £4million bid in order to land the player during the summer.
