Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has spoken of his disappointment for Tuesday’s 4-0 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid, and says the club must focus on the “massive” game at the weekend against Stoke City.
Gomes, 30, told the club’s official website: “Madrid
“Now we have to pick ourselves up because we need to finish in the top four of the Premier League.
“We cannot afford to think about the next game with Madrid, we must all think about the next game against Stoke which will be a massive game for us.”
Spurs go into Saturday’s home tie with Stoke on the back of four games without a goal, and four Premier League ties without a win.
