Newcastle boss plans to make Coloccini angry

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has hailed defender Fabricio Coloccini’s performance at the weekend against Wolves, and suggests he should upset the Argentinian more often.

Pardew stopped Coloccini from going up for a corner shortly before half-time, frustrating the former Deportivo man, who went on to stride up the field and begin the move from which Peter Lovenkrands scored.

Talking to the Shields Gazette, Pardew said: “I upset Coloccini before half-time, because he wanted to go up for a set play and I asked him to stay back. I might have to upset him a bit more, because he was absolutely different class in the second half. He’s a top, top player.
