Russian striker wants Man Utd move

Stuttgart’s Russian international striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has made a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester United, following reports linking the player to the club.

Talking to Eurosport, the 27-year-old put his name forward for a move: “Generally I like the English Premier League and Manchester United, I’ve always cheered for them. In my opinion, it’s the strongest club in England and one of the best in Europe in general.

“The Bundesliga is definitely one of the strongest leagues in the world. I would rank it second after the Premier League.”

The former Zenit forward has scored 14 goals in 51 league appearances for the Bundesliga club, as well as seven goals for Russia in 26 caps.
