Tottenham winger Gareth Bale is confident that Spurs can beat Real Madrid in the Champions League, and has not ruled out the possiblity of moving abroad should the right opportunity present itself in the future.
Bale, 21, told FIFA.com:
Talking to Spanish journalists ahead of his sides Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid, Bale said he was not currently thinking about a move to Real or rivals Barcelona: “I try not to think about that. My team-mates joke a lot about my future, but I don’t give it any thought.”
The Cardiff-born Wales international also feels Tottenham have a chance against Jose Mourinho’s side: “We’re all really looking forward to the game. We sincerely believe that over the two games we can get through. They are a fantastic team, I’ve seem them almost every week for years, I love the Spanish league. But we know how to beat them.”
