Benzema cool on rumours.

Karim Benzema has played down a move to Arsenal and has insisted that he wants to stay and fight for his place at Real Madrid, The Sun reports.

The French striker has scored 23 goals in 60 games for the Spanish side after his switch from Lyon two years ago. Benzema snubbed Arsenal’s advances in 2009 to move to Madrid and with speculation that the 23-year-old is being frozen out at the Bernabeu, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is interested in signing Benzema. However, Benzema has spoken out about the interest and dismissed any advances from any side, stating: ‘I do not think Real Madrid want to sell. Mourinho is confident in me. Next season you will see the best from Benzema.’

Wilshere gives Utd tips.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has given his fellow Premier League side Manchester United tips on how to beat Barcelona in tonight’s Champions League final, BBC Sport reports.

Wilshere played in both legs of the quarter final against the Spanish champions this season and impressed in the first leg that Arsenal won 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium. Young England international Wilshere believes that discipline is also a key to victory for the Premier League champions, saying: ‘Three passes – bang, bang, bang – and they are through. You have to get in their faces. I have said it before: you really have to hold your shape’. Despite the belief from Wilshere that United can get in the faces of Barcelona and disrupt the midfield talents of Xavi and Iniesta, the 19 year old still believes that Barcelona will pick up the victory at Wembley Stadium.
