Barcelona could be forgiven if their goal-less draw with Deportivo la Coruna at the weekend had just a slight tinge of ‘after the Lord Mayor’s show’ to it as the Catalans received the Primera Division trophy in front of a jubilant Camp Nou.
La Blaugrana had spent Friday partying with their supporters as an open-top bus tour through the city was the centre-piece of the celebrations. Just before the match, the visitors had formed a guard of honour for their hosts and applauded the newly-crowned Champions onto the pitch.

The 0-0 draw brings the curtain down on Barcelona’s home fixtures for the 2010/11 season and means that Pep Guardiola’s men have dropped just seven points on home turf all campaign.
Although the draw brought a succession of fifteen straight wins to an end, the champions can also be proud of their goal-scoring feats where they have scored forty-six goals and conceded just ten, contributing to an unbeaten run that has seen the Catalans go for just over eight months without tasting defeat at the Camp Nou.
