Chelsea duo Michael Essien and Branislav Ivanovic are both set to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the Summer, after recent rumours linking them away from the club.
Essien, 28, who joined the Blues in 2005/06 for 38m Euros from Lyon, has been linked with a move to AC Milan, yet his agent Fabien Piveteau told the London Evening Standard: “The club want him to stay and he will be there for the next four seasons. Lots of clubs are interested in Michael but the answer is the same – he is very happy at Chelsea.”

The paper also spoke to the agent of Ivanovic, who has been linked with a number of leading European clubs, reasserting his clients intention to stay. Vlado Borozan insisted: “His future? Branislav doesn’t move from Chelsea. He recently renewed his contract, he’ll stay.”
