Fabregas and Ibra main summer targets says Man City boss

Manchester City are set to make a shock £50m bid to bring Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas to the City of Manchester Stadium, after manager Roberto Mancini named the Spaniard as his number one target.

City, who secured Champions League football last night with a 1-0 over Tottenham thanks to an own-goal by Peter Crouch, are set to spend big again at the end of the season, as they try to establish their position in the top four, and create a title winning side.

And Mancini, talking to The Sun, revealed that Fabregas, along with Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, are his two main targets. Asked which player would make his side Champions, he replied “Cesc Fabregas”, before going on to reveal his interest in bringing Ibrahimovic to the club: “If Zlatan wants to come to City, I would immediately find a place for him.”

The Swedish international is currently on-loan at Milan from Barcelona, and has just won his eigth consecutive title, including league wins with Juventus, Inter, Barcelona and Milan.
