Liverpool on alert as Spurs consider Lennon sale

Tottenham are willing to sell England winger Aaron Lennon at the end of the season, according to a report on Goal.com.

Lennon, 24, has been a key part of the Spurs team that reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season, but it is reported that manager Harry Redknapp is frustrated that the winger does not follow his instructions to progress his game.

A source told Goal.com: “Harry feels Lennon is not learning, not improving and not listening to instructions. He has been really disappointed by Lennon’s performances since the first half of last season and does not believe he is as willing to run at the full-back as he should be.

“Spurs have not yet started touting him around but if they get a good offer, they will probably sell him.”

A fee of around £15m has been reported to take the player away from White Hart Lane, and the Mirror suggests that Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the situation, as Director of Football Damien Comolli, who was previously working for Tottenham, is a keen admirer of the pacey wing-man.
