Liverpool have made Aston Villa ‘keeper Brad Friedel a major target in the summer transfer window, according to sources at Sky
Friedel, 39, played for the Anfield side from 1997-2001, before leaving for Blackburn, and after eleven further seasons in the Premier League, his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

It is also reported that West Brom and Tottenham are interested in the former USA international, but the players’ agent told Sky:
“I will be holding talks with Brad next week, once the season has finished and we will then go over his options… I have read the newspaper speculation, but we are not going to talk about any clubs until the season has finished.”
