Man City striker Balotelli in new training-ground bust-up

Manchester City’s volatile Italian striker Mario Balotelli has been involved in another training-ground altercation, this time with Vincent Kompany.

The pacey front-man, signed for around £24m from Inter last Summer, has been no stranger to confrontations since moving to Manchester, most recently angering England defender Rio Ferdinand just after City’s FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester United.

This time, according to the Daily Mail, the player had to be restrained after taking issue with a tackle from Kompany, before James Milner and Yaya Toure intervened to bring the players apart.

Balotelli had a similar bust-up with Jerome Boateng back in December, and manager Roberto Mancini has held discussions with the player over his conduct both on and off the field.
