Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba has given a major indication that he will look to leave Ewood Park at the end of the season, and Arsenal are favourites to land the Congo international.
Samba, who signed for Rovers in 2007 in a £500,000 deal from Hertha Berlin, was heavily linked with a move to the Gunners in the January transfer window, yet nothing materialised.
However, now the 27-year-old has spoken of his desire to reach the highest level he can. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Samba said:
‘Everyone knows I am ambitious. You only have one career so you need to make the best of it. I’ve committed myself to do my best for Blackburn and then we’ll see in the summer.’
