Terry denies Chelsea Torres rift

England and Chelsea captain John Terry has denied that some players were angry at the return of Fernando Torres to the starting line-up against Tottenham.

Salomon Kalou came off the bench to score a last-minute winner for the Blues in their 2-1 victory, however he did not celebrate having been dropped from the first-team in order for Torres to play.

But Terry, 30, denied that there was a rift in the Chelsea camp, telling Sky Sports: “No arguing amongst the players, no disappointments. We understand it’s a team game and they’ve all got so much to give to this team. That could be key.”

Manager Carlo Ancelotti must now decide whether Torres, Kalou and Drogba play next weekend in what could be a massive game in the context of winning the title: “To make a decision about the line-up, I have to forget the past. I have to look at the next training session. It’s important to have players in good form, in good condition.”
