The Spurs defender Ledley King believes he is finally over his groin complaint and will not need further surgery. After being out for months he returned to action against Liverpool on Sunday where he was magnificent.
In an interview with the Evening Standard he said: “I was going to have an operation but its been one of those where I wasn’t quite sure if I needed one, so I was putting it off. Hopefully that decision has paid off.”
After coming through the game successfully it is hoped King can get a good pre-season under his belt in order to be fit for the start of next season.
Redknapp watches Gervinho and Hazard.
After a frustrating season for all Spur’s strikers Harry Redknapp has begun the search for some fresh blood to inject into the side. Over weekend he travelled to watch Lille play in the French Cup final where he was able to run his eyes over Gervinho and Eden Hazard.
Speaking to the Metro Redknapp stated: “I went to the cup final in France on Saturday night and I’m going to go abroad two or three times this week and keep following up leads and see what we come up with.”
However, Redknapp may be facing a losing battle over Hazard as the Belgian forward has already hinted that he’d prefer a move to Italy.
