Blackburn Rovers’ Indian owners, Venky’s, will show their appreciation for the club’s loyal travelling supporters at this weekend’s crunch clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
Each one of the estimated 2,800 fans who are making their trip down to the Midlands will receive a letter of thanks on the turnstiles and this will also include vouchers worth £10 which can be spent on refreshments at the ground.
The good news comes only a week after the Lancashire club announced they would cut ticket prices for the important game. Although Wolves are charging £38 per adult ticket, Rovers have chopped this down to £25 for their own fans, while concession prices have also been reduced by the club.
The kind gesture was made to encourage a large following for the final league game of the season and also to reward the supporters. Subsequently, Rovers’ entire allocation was quickly sold out and the fans will now also enjoy the £10 vouchers as their side aim to avoid relegation.
