Arsene Wenger will tell striker Nicklas Bendtner that he should stay at Arsenal, when the two meet to discuss the players’ future at the end of the season.
Bendtner, 23, has not been able to hold down a first-team place in the Gunners side this season, making just three league starts and 12 substitute appearances, scoring two goals.

Yet Wenger told ESPN that the player still has a future at the Emirates Stadium:
“I will sit down with Nicklas at the end of the season to see how he feels. I hope he will stay.
“I completely agree that he did not get enough chances – it was a very difficult season for him. He must be frustrated and I am as well because I feel he was not involved enough.
“That is part of the competition as well but we will see where we go from here at the end of the season.”
