The Daily Record says that Spanish giants Valencia and Espanyol are the latest clubs to join the hunt for highly-rated Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal. Bolton Wanderers have already had a £2m offer for the Israeli snubbed and are set to up it to £4m, although both Spanish clubs could easily top that.
The 23-year-old currently earns around £8,000 per week at Celtic Park and has made it clear he wants an increase after an impressive first SPL season, and Hoops manager Neil Lennon has recently moved to get his player an improved contract.
However, Kayal´s uncle Hamoudi Kayal, who also acts as his advisor, said: “At the moment nothing has changed. We respect the people we are dealing with and will wait to hear from them.”

Miller urges Hooper to stay upbeat.
Celtic striker Gary Hooper has been urged not to get down over his omission from the England Under-21 squad for the European Championships in Denmark.
Former Parkhead hero Joe Miller maintains the former Scunthorpe United man will be better than ever when Neil Lennon´s side report back for pre-season training.
Speaking to the Scottish Sun, Miller said: “I’m sure he’ll be disappointed not to make the squad but I think he’ll appreciate the rest.
“When you’re with a club like Celtic you can end up playing 60-odd games a season. It can be ridiculous but that’s what playing at the top level is about. I think once the disappointment dies down, he’ll realise the benefit of it for next season.
“It’s great to have as many boys in the international set-up as possible. But at the same time, he’ll be delighted at the chance to relax.”
Brown blasts English clubs.
Craig Brown has blasted English clubs over the way they pursue the best talent north of the border. The Aberdeen boss is angry about Bolton Wanderers´ recent £2 million offer for Beram Kayal while demanding £15 million for centre-back Gary Cahill.
The Aberdeen boss told the Daily Record: “There is a lack of respect for our game down there. I know that because I have worked in both countries. English clubs look disparagingly at the Scottish scene – they don’t respect it the way they used to when they could come up here and get players of the quality of Kenny Dalglish, Gordon Strachan and Jim Leighton.
“The feeling now is that there is nobody worth taking. If Kayal was playing in England he would be going for £6m at least.”
