Andre Villas-Boas gave his first interview to ChelseaTV last night and revealed his ambitions along with the factors that lured him to Stamford Bridge. The 33-year-old who will now become the youngest manager in the Premier League is already being burdened with a lot of expectations on his shoulders.
But his answers during the interview reflected knowledge beyond his experience. The young manager simply pointed out that one individual cannot make a difference and that everyone has to work together to attain success at Chelsea.
When asked what convinced him to move to Chelsea? Villas-Boas was quick to say: “It was a challenge I needed to take.” The former Porto boss revealed he has already begun work to prepare himself before the players arrive in July for pre-season training.

Neymar snubs Blues.
Highly rated Brazilian starlet Neymar is ready to snub Chelsea and join Real Madrid, according to Talksport. The young striker has been heavily linked with Chelsea over the past month, but the Blues are now set to lose out on one of their summer targets. The 19-year-old is believed to be ready to sign a six-year deal worth around £26.75m with Real Madrid as soon as the club agrees a fee.
Santos have revealed they will demand nothing short of £40m for the teenage sensation. However it is still unclear whether the La Liga club will be ready to shell out such a large sum for an unproven youngster, which could yet open a door for Chelsea to swoop in.
Falcao wants Blues move.
Porto hitman Falcao has issued a plea to Andre Villas-Boas to take him to London, according to the Daily Star. The Columbian striker went on record saying: “If Chelsea is interested in me then all that needs to happen is for negotiations to take place.”
The highly rated star has scored 73 goals in 85 appearances for Porto and shares a great relationship with Villas-Boas.
However it is unlikely the Blues will be looking to buy Falcao as Porto have slapped a £25m release clause in the striker’s contract. This figure may be too high for the Blues to consider as they have just met Porto’s release clause of £13.2m for their now former coach.
