Tottenham Hotspur will only sell striker Peter Crouch to Sunderland, if Asamoah Gyan is part of any deal the Black Cats make. The Guardian reports that the England international is Sunderland’s number one attacking target this summer.
Crouch endured a difficult end to last season after his dismissal in the Champions League quarter final against Real Madrid and Sunderland manager Steve Bruce wants to take Crouch to Wearside. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is looking to freshen up his attacking talent for next season and is interested in bringing the Ghanaian striker to White Hart Lane.
Bruce would not like to lose Gyan, who he signed for £13 million from French side Rennes in the summer of 2010, but Gyan is said to be excited at the prospect of a move to London. The 25 year old is also said to be upset that his Ghanaian international teammates, Sulley Muntari and John Mensah, have returned to their parent clubs Inter Milan and Lyon respectively after loans on Wearside.

Hernandez bid rejected.
Palermo have rejected a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for forward Abel Hernandez, The Telegraph reports. Hernandez’ agent, Vincenzo D’Ippolito, has claimed that Spurs have made a £8.9 million offer for the 20 year old.
When asked about Tottenham’s offer, D’Ippolito said: ‘It’s true. But for the time being I know (Palermo president Maurizio) Zamparani has turned down the offer. The transfer market has just started, so we’ll see what happens’.
Hernandez joined Palermo in the summer of 2009 from Uruguayan side Penarol and the Uruguayan international forward scored two goals in 22 appearances for the Italian side last season. D’Ippolito has also revealed that Tottenham’s offer will not be enough to acquire the services of the striker, as Palermo value the player at around 20 million euros.
Caulker to Swansea.
Tottenham’s young central defender Steven Caulker could be on his way to newly promoted Premier League side Swansea City on a season long loan, the Daily Mirror reports.
Caulker starred on loan at Championship side Bristol City last season and the 19 year old is a transfer target for Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is said to be a big fan of Caulker and will not want to let the striker move permanently to any club, so any move will have to be on a loan basis.
The young defender made 30 appearances for Bristol City last season and was tipped to be part of England under 21 manager Stuart Pearce’s European Championships squad, but his season was cut short by injury. Caulker is set to be returning to full fitness and the South Wales are prepared to bring in Caulker along with the other new faces they are ready to sign in a bid to keep them up.
