Palacios nears Napoli switch.

Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacios is on the verge of signing for Italian side Napoli. The fee is understood to have been agreed at £12 million which will free up money for Spurs pursuit of Scott Parker.

The Daily Star has reported today that the deal is imminent. Palacios has fallen out of favour since the arrival of Sandro and has actively looked for a move this summer. He was a top performer after arriving at Spurs in 2009 for £2 million.

Spurs are set to be very keen on securing Scott Parker’s signature this summer. It is thought a bid of £10 million would be enough to secure his services.

Fenerbahce in for Jenas.

Turkish side Fenerbahce are set to bid £5 million for Jermaine Jenas according to The central midfielder has fallen down the pecking order since the arrivals of Van der Vaart and Sandro.

The former England international is keen to play regular football again and could be tempted with by a lucrative offer from Turkey. However, with former Spurs manager Martin Jol being appointed at Fulham it is thought he may be interested in bringing his former player to Craven Cottage.

Fenerbahce have already been linked to Spurs target Scott Parker; however, the West Ham captain has stated he wishes to remain in the Premier League.

O’Hara reveals pain at leaving Spurs.

After signing for Wolves, Jamie O’Hara has spoken about his disappointment in leaving Spurs. He departed for £5 million but spoke of the pain of leaving the club he supported as a boy.

He told the Evening Standard: “It’s painful to leave because I always wanted to play for Tottenham. I joined them when I was 17 and I was a Spurs fan so I always wanted to play for the club. But I never really felt like I had the opportunity.”

Although he was at Spurs for a few years he spent the majority of his time on loan at lower league clubs.
