Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart has told of his pleasure at how his first season with the club has gone.
The Dutch international, who signed for Spurs in a deadline-day £8m deal from Real Madrid, has scored 15 goals in all competitions, and helped Tottenham reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, beating Inter and AC Milan in the process.

Spurs ended the season six points adrift of fourth-place Arsenal, but Rafa does not see this season as a failure, and does not regret his move to the Premier League: “Of course it’s a pity that we didn’t finish in the top four but we had a great season. So I’m a happy man and it was a nice first year.
“The Premier League is the biggest in the world. Everybody in every country sees our games and that’s a nice thing. As a player you want to show what you can do to the whole world so it has been an important move for me.”
