With Aguero’s long-awaited departure from the Spanish capital moving a step closer as he begins contract talks with Roberto Mancini’s team, his soon-to-be-former club’s new Coach Manzano, has spoken of his disappointment at the way the player has handled leaving the club.
The former Sevilla Coach only took over at the club this summer, after Aguero had originally stated his desire to leave, but told the media yesterday of his feeling that the 23-year-old could have initiated the transfer with more ‘humanity, love for Atletico and professionalism’.
Manzano also stated his relief at the imminent end to what had become a ‘soap opera’, one that during the summer saw the player heavily linked with rivals Real Madrid and this week refuse to turn up to training for the Los Rojiblancos.
