Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has reportedly been in contact with Real Madrid’s Angel Di Maria about a possible switch to London, according to The Metro. Marca TV’s Futboleros show reported that the new Chelsea manager had asked both Pepe and Di Maria whether they were interested in a move to the Blues this summer.
It is uncertain whether Madrid will be willing to entertain an offer for Di Maria who joined the Spanish side only a year ago, especially since he endured such a successful stint in his time at the club so far.
However with names like Neymar and Sergio Aguero being linked with Jose Mourinho’s squad, Di Maria could just be interested in the chance of playing regular first-team football even if it means handing in a transfer request at Madrid.
