Chelsea news – Blues miss out on Pastore, McEachran inspired by Wilshere, Hiddink: Chelsea need stability

Blues miss out on Pastore.

Chelsea look set to miss out on Palermo playmaker Javier Pastore. The Blues had been pursuing the much sought-after player all summer and were reportedly meeting with his agent in London yesterday. However it appears that PSG have beaten Chelsea to his signature and it looks like Pastore will be signing a five-year deal with the Parisian club. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini said: “[We] closed the deal last night (Friday) around midnight. Losing out on Pastore is a significant blow to Chelsea’s pursuit of a new central playmaker this summer as also they look set to miss out on signing Luka Modric, with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy not altering his stance towards the potential sale of Modric.
