Forgotten Gago wants Boca return

Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago´s agent has told of his player’s desire to return to his home country to join Boca Juniors. The Argentine international left Boca to move to Madrid in 2006 for €20.4 million, but despite starting well at the club a host of injuries and a change in management has seen Gago drop down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 25-year-old is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, suffered whilst playing against Uruguay in the Copa America, but also wants to enjoy his honeymoon as he is set to marry tennis star Gisela Dulko this Tuesday.

Gago spent over a decade at Boca, playing through the club’s youth system and making 70 first team appearances and winning an incredible five titles before leaving for Madrid, but is now willing to take a substantial pay cut to leave the Spanish capital.
