Granada land Corrales from Mallorca in one-year deal

La Liga new boys Granada CF have signed left-back Enrique Corrales from Mallorca on a one-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

29-year-old Corrales came through the Real Madrid youth system but never made the breakthrough to the first team. He eventually made the switch to Osasuna and spent four seasons in Pamplona before moving to Mallorca in 2008 where he made 32 starts.

The former Spanish Under-18 and Under-21 player has made over 140 appearances in La Liga and becomes the fifth signing for the Andalusian club who are making their first top flight appearance for 35 years.

He joins Ikechi Anya (Celta de Vigo), Jaime Romero (loan from Udinese), David Cortes (Hercules) and Noe Pamarot (Hercules) and brings some vital top-flight experience as the club look to consolidate their elite status beyond this season.
