Espanyol striker Luis Garcia has admitted he could leave the Catalan club this summer, even if his intention is to stay.
The forward, who has scored 47 goals in 219 appearances for Los Periquitos since 2005, has been the subject of growing speculation that he will either leave on a free in 2012, or will be sold this summer. Entering the final 12 months of his contract sees Espanyol reportedly weighing up selling the player, or keeping hold of him and risking his contract running to its end.
Interestingly, in comments reported in Marca,
Espanyol’s other main striker, Pablo Osvaldo, has also been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
