Inter Milan chief executive Ernesto Paolillo has suggested that the club could be read to sell Wesley Sneijder, but Manchester United have not made any contact, according to ESPN Soccernet.
Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that United’s summer spending is finished, but the availability of the 27 year old Sneijder could result in a bid being placed by the Premier League champions. Paolillo revealed that they would never say no to the sale of Sneijder, but they have heard no interest from United so far.
‘Are Manchester United still after Sneijder? We haven’t seen or heard from anyone; that’s a story I’ve heard from you (the media). Is Wesley definitely not for sale? I don’t think there’s anything that can’t be sold, it all depends on the price. You never say no if a big opportunity comes your way, but it does have to be a real opportunity’, the Nerazzurri chief executive stated.
A move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez could be funded by the sale of Sneijder and Paolillo has stated that he will not go and look for Tevez; the Argentinian has to declare interest to come to the Giuseppe Meazza.
