The Magpies have added another new signing to their squad with the capture of 18 year old Mehdi Abeid. The midfielder joins from French club Lens and has signed a five year deal.
Abeid impressed on trial with Newcastle last season and has so far represented France at Under-17 and Under-18 Level.
Newcastle reserve team manager Peter Beardsley said: “We are delighted bring Mehdi to the club. He is a bright, young talent and we think he has an exciting future ahead of him. After an impressive trial with us earlier in the year, I’m looking forward to working with Mehdi and developing his talent.”
